Responsible for policies and programmes designed to strengthen the capacity of relevant public institutions of developing countries and economies in transition.
Competencies:
Professionalism: Expert knowledge in the technical field of work in general and in the specific areas being supervised in particular; proven ability to produce reports and papers on technical issues;

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degrees in economics and law, with specialisation in competition law or related economic law.
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of professional experience at progressively higher levels of responsibility in international organisations dealing with issues related to trade and competition and their inter-relationship/impact on development.
Languages:
Fluency and excellent drafting ability in English and French. Very good working knowledge of other UN languages highly desirable.
Others:
Knowledge of United Nations administrative and management procedures. Presentation and computer skills.
