Job offer description: City: Geneva Country: SWITZERLAND Responsabilities: Revising translations covering a broad range of subjects dealt with by the United Nations. Translating, mostly without revision, texts covering a broad range of subjects dealt with by the United Nations. Competencies: Solid writing and analytical skills; high standards of accuracy, consistency and faithfulness to the spirit, style and nuances of the original text such as to require little or no revision;

Qualifications: Education: Degree from a university or from an institution of equivalent status; must have passed the United Nations competitive examination for Chinese translators. Experience: At least 7 years of translation experience in a broad range of subjects dealt with by the United Nations, with a recognized specialization in a particular substantive, technical or administrative area. Languages: A perfect command of Chinese, which must be the candidate's mother tongue; excellent knowledge of English; working knowledge of French. Others: Knowledge of relevant computer software, including word processing programs.
