Responsabilities:
Provide substantive expertise and technical services for a range of programme activities for the promotion of the implementation of the Convention, particularly its chapter V;
Competencies:
Professionalism: Demonstrated professional competence and expert knowledge of major/key developments and challenges in one or more functional and substantive areas and/or countries and/or regions covered by the UNODC mandate.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree in international law, or criminal law, with specialization in international aspects of crime and justice issues.
Experience:
A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in crime prevention and criminal justice issues, preferably with a focus on corruption or closely related issues; work experience in legislative assistance activities;
Languages:
Fluency in English, with excellent drafting and communication skills. Good working knowledge of one or more of the other United Nations official languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian) is highly desirable.
Others:
Experience in legislative advisory services, technical assistance projects/programmes management, administration and/or evaluation, preferably within the UN Common System.
