Responsabilities:
Managing and coordinating selected assignments of the ICT Division's sub-programme; preparing project proposals, including budgets; securing partner collaboration and support; mobilizing and managing extra-budgetary resources;
Competencies:
Has excellent understanding of ICT and Science Technology and Innovation (STI) for regional development and the limitations of technology; has strong research capabilities and good analytical and problem solving capacity;

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Master's of equivalent), in information technology, communications, computer or electrical engineering, computer science, knowledge management or related field.
Experience:
A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in development and information and communication technology for development of which a minimum of four years should be at the international level.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. For this post, fluency in written and spoken English is required. Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
Others:
Use of computer and knowledge management applications, e.g. Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project or equivalent, is required.
