Responsabilities:
Translates, subject to revision, a variety of mostly legal texts from French into English, respecting deadlines and using appropriate terminology.
Competencies:
Professionalism – Good writing skills; high standards of accuracy, consistency and faithfulness to the spirit, style and nuances of the original text;

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree in linguistics or relevant fields; diploma in translation from an internationally recognized school is desirable.
Experience:
At least 5 years of translation experience into English, preferably in the context of the United Nations or an international organization.
Languages:
The official working languages of the Extraordinary Chambers are Khmer, English and French. For this particular post, the incumbent must have English as mother tongue (main language) or equivalent command as well as an excellent knowledge of French.
Others:
Must have the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. Some degree of specialization in subjects with which the Extraordinary Chambers deal, i.e. legal.
