Responsabilities:
Coordinates and reviews inputs for the meeting of the Executive Secretaries, meeting of the Executive Committee for Economic and Social Affairs, and meeting of the Executive Secretary with other United Nations agencies;
Competencies:
Proven ability to produce reports and papers for ESCWA session and other ESCWA and UN meetings as required; ability to review and edit the work of others.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced University degree in Economics, Law or Political Science or other related field.
Experience:
At least ten years of relevant experience, with accumulated experience with a government (diplomatic service is an asset) or an international organization with experience in external relations.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. For this post, fluency in both Arabic and English is essential. Working knowledge of French is desirable.
Others:
Extensive knowledge of United Nations policies, procedures and operations. Experience in the ESCWA region is desirable.
