Responsabilities:
The incumbent is responsible for the management of the programmes and activities of the Unit 'Counter Human Trafficking and Emerging Crimes', including inputs and budget allocations for the work programme of the Institute.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in criminology, sociology, criminal law, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related area. Candidates with a first-level university degree (Bachelors or equivalent)
Experience:
Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible, professional working experience in the area of criminology or criminal justice, including three years at international level, in government or private sector positions in related areas.
Languages:
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Others:
Knowledge of relevant institutional mandates, policies and guidelines is required.
