Responsabilities:
Manages and directs the units of the service in the provision of intergovernmental support services to member States, conferences, meetings and the implementation of UNCTAD's meeting and documentation programme.
Competencies:
Professionalism: Thorough knowledge of procedural and policy issues in the context of United Nations meetings and conferences in general and UNCTAD in particular. Knowledge of economic development issues and their relation to UNCTAD's work.

Qualifications:
Education:
Advanced university degree in economics, political science, or other field in humanities or social sciences.
Experience:
At least 15 years of progressively responsible professional experience with intergovernmental processes in international organizations, including experience in the United Nations and familiarity with UNCTAD intergovernmental machinery and activities.
Languages:
Fluency in English and French required. Knowledge of other UN official languages is an advantage.
Others:
In-depth knowledge of multilateral negotiations and the conduct of meetings and conferences.
