Responsabilities:

Analyze accounts and review/evaluate regular project financial reports. Identify problem transactions and irregularities in the accounts, resolving them in a timely and effective manner.

Competencies:

Professionalism: Proven conceptual, analytical and evaluative skills and ability to conduct independent research and analysis, identifying issues, formulating options and making conclusions and recommendations.

Qualifications:

Education:

Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, finance, or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:

At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, administration, budget, business administration or related area is required. Experience in accounting procedures or financial administration.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in spoken and written English or French is required. Working knowledge of the other language is an advantage.

Others:

For this post the following skills are required: extensive hands on experience in the use of IMIS or any enterprise resource planning tools. Solid computer skills; excellent proven drafting ability.
